 | • The Philosophy of Be Water Photographic I learned about the ancient Chinese concept to "Be Water" by watching an old Bruce Lee interview. He explained that one should always strive to be water, using the idea that water is both life giving and life taking. Water crashes and water drips. When placed in a container, it takes the shape of the container becoming a pot, your glass, or that water cooler everybody huddles around. I challenge you to be water. The ideas of strength and subtlety in water are vivid and I admire its ease in adaptation. From my travels, I learned very quickly that I had to adjust and adapt to everything very much like water and on every assignment I find myself applying these concepts to my photographic experience. I am here to create whatever form of photography you need –advertising, art, fashion, portraits, products, architecture, and anything else you can imagine. I adapt to any environment – a club event, wedding, professional seminar, studio, or your living room. Photography is truly my passion and that passion will translate life's moments, your moments, and your ideas into the images you desire. • About Me I discovered my passion for photography while growing up in Kansas City, Missouri. I still have 4x6's from my third grade class. I have been shooting professionally for about 10 years. As many photographers will tell you, the medium just took over. One minute I was a DJ and the next I was photographing DJs. I'm a very active person. My wide array of extracurricular activities includes surfing, in-line skating, snowboarding, rock climbing, biking, camping and hiking. It's always for the exercise and sometimes it's just to get outside. I earned my BS in Photography and traveled extensively during my assorted 5 years of University education. My degree program and diploma were from Northern Arizona University. I used my studies to visit the UK, Costa Rica, Spain, and most of Western Europe. I even made a day trip to Africa. I became comfortable speaking Spanish during my six-month study in Valencia, Spain. I finished with a minor in Spanish and find the second language pretty useful in the San Diego area. Because of the wealth of outdoor opportunities and a bustling nightlife, San Diego has become my favorite city and my home. It even allows me to moonlight assignments in LA. And when I'm not shooting it's really all about surfing. You can usually find me in the waters around the Ocean Beach pier. And when it all comes down to it you really can't beat this weather. Thank You For Your Time And Interest I Look Forward To Creating The Images You Desire Sincerely , John Audley
